This is indeed the Need of the Hour. A Lot has been spoken in Past & Very Less Has been Done. Yes i agree that Awarness is the First Step But Many a People Lack in Action. It has to Happen at Individuals level. If each one of us avoids Plastic, we can create tough time for Plastic Industry. At my level i make it a point not to bring a plastic from any shop by carring cloth bag for Purchase / Shopping. Even if any shop keeper gives me i return it back. We need to practice this more than just knowing things. But this is In deed a Good Initiative.

Irrespective of the microns used, plastic bags as a whole should be stopped using not alone by the small retails alone but also by the big and reputed merchants. Hi, its a very good initiative to realise the people about the dangers of using plastic. People are so habitutated to use plastc as it is easy to carry,but none of them thinks about the harm it causes to them and the mother earth.In order to avoid the plastic first we should find an alternative for the plastic.Recently i have gone through an article in telugu newspaper about making the plastic bags with potato which are easy to make and easily degradable.These plastic bags are widely used in Japan and Germany, if our government encourages such a process then its easy to avoid plastic.
